North East

If you really want to get away from it all, the North East is the place to go. It has the most amazing scenery, ‘big’ skies and a great feeling of being on top of the world. It could be described as England’s best kept secret as, aside from the most well known attractions such as Hadrian’s Wall and the enigmatic backdrop of Lindisfarne, you’ll often find you have a complete length of path or beach to yourselves.

We’ve included a small selection of in the North East on this page, with links to other websites where you can get details of loads more walks.
